Can I read your story, please?

Since when is it OK for a news website to redacte almost an entire article unless you click through their ad box? If some fashion site or celebrity news site or other entertainment style site wants to make you use a piece of software just to read their stories(yes, an ad inserted into the body of a story is a piece of software, usually flash, that has a EULA or TOS(end user license agreement or terms of service) that are legally binding and you tacitly agree to by clicking in said ad, even if you never read the EULA or TOS).

But a NEWS site? The cry and hue over people seeking alt news sources, and getting their top stories from FB or Twitter, maybe the ‘news’ shouldn’t make it so onerous to use their sites?
